Arxxus Technology Partners has opened a new office in Brisbane following a major funding injection from Salesforce Ventures.

The decade-long Salesforce partner has hired former Tquila talent Jacqui Woods to oversee the Queensland operation as an account executive.

Arxxus will later add an “experienced delivery capability” plus a managed services team to the Brisbane office, which will be supported by its technical team in Pune, India.

The company will now look to increase its foothold with sectors including state and local government, education, aged care and non-profit organisations

Arxxus is also planning to open an office in Singapore before the end of the next financial year. Both openings follow the release of Salesforce Venture's Australia Trailblazer Fund, a $50 million cash pot split between several local partners, of which Arxxus was an early recipient.

"For nearly 10 years Arxxus has been an innovative partner in the Salesforce Ecosystem," said Charles Woodall, VP of partner sales industries and strategic alliances for Salesforce APAC. "I'm thrilled to see Arxxus expand their reach in the APAC region with their solutions-led approach."

Arxxus’ recently appointed CEO Kim Stewart-Smith said the funding had allowed the company to invest heavily in hiring “smart, hungry yet humble people” and training for its existing 140-person Salesforce team.

“This recent round of investment from Salesforce allows us to continue to create innovative solutions to increasingly complex business problems that our customers face,” she added. “That’s why we are rapidly scaling Arxxus to meet the customer demand that we are seeing for our specialist solutions.”

The company now has offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Pune and Bangalore and has received two rounds of funding from Salesforce.
