ASX-listed Uniti Wireless is continuing to build its acquisition pipeline through the purchase of specialist communications-as-a-service provider Call Dynamics for $2 million.
Melbourne-based Call Dynamics provides inbound call services such as call tracking analytics to SMEs and small-office-home-office (SOHO) customers.
Its communications-platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) allows businesses to accurately track inbound traffic sources and keywords to enhance marketing efficiency and call-handling techniques.
The company was founded by Stuart Marburg and Tim Syratt, and is expected to be earnings accretive in FY20. It complements its recent purchase of Fone Dynamics in May.
In a statement, Uniti CEO Michael Simmons said it was another highly-attractive transaction for company shareholders delivering material and growing cash earnings. The $2 million-price tag will be payable in 37 per cent of Uniti shares and 63 per cent in cash.
He further explained the complementary features between Call Dynamics and Fone Dynamics allows Uniti to aggressively pursue customer growth from SOHO through to larger enterprises, with enhanced sales reach, product diversity, digital marketing smarts and scale efficiency.
“Importantly, the Call Dynamics acquisition further strengthens our third pillar of speciality telco services and builds upon our commitment to cost-efficiently acquire businesses that are highly cash generative and, in turn, add meaningful earnings per share to the benefit of all Uniti shareholders,” Simmons said.
Simmons hinted it would continue its acquisition spree having already identified prospects across each of its three pillars of business spanning wireless, fibre and specialty services.
“The reaction to the Uniti strategy from owners of target businesses has been very encouraging, evidenced by the strong appetite to accept Uniti shares as consideration and the efficiency with which we have been able to execute binding transactions to date,” he said.
The acquisition is expected to be completed on 1 June.
Uniti has been headstrong in its acquisition attempts. At the end of March, it confirmed plans to acquire telecommunications provider Spirit Telecom, an offer that was rejectedby the telco.
Two weeks later, it purchased Queensland fibre builder Pivit in a $450,000-deal.
Founded in 2014 as an 'alternative option' to the National Broadband Network (NBN), Uniti Wireless recently appointed industry veteran Vaughan Bowen as an executive director, tasking him with overseeing its merger and acquisition pipeline.
