With approximately 100 employees and 70 volunteers across Australia, the Catholic Mission provides funding and project support to projects aimed at benefiting children and communities across the country.

The Catholic Mission was looking for a single solution to remove the burden of working with different systems and numerous spreadsheets that were not integrated. It was also looking for a system that offered scalability in order to keep up with the growth the organisation experienced.

It needed a financial system that was able to record electronic copies of all transactions' documents facilitating the overall auditing process and providing better structured financial reports.

The Catholic Mission chose Unit4 Business World, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) software which was integrated by its long-term Australian partner Agilyx Group.

Agilyx first worked on core financials, accounts payable and receivable, and project accounting, which took six months. The second phase is currently taking place with human resources and payroll now being implemented and it is expected to be concluded this month.

According to Uni4, the organisation has experienced a significant uptake of digital modules, which has led to improved administration of expenses.

The Unit4 solutions have been able to provide a full audit trail that offers the ability to track a transaction through the system and see where it started, where it finished and trace the end back to its source.

"It’s important, as a public charity, that our donors have confidence that our financials are sound and that, when asked to produce proof of an event, we can provide the right documentation," said Andrew Hurt corporate services director at Catholic Mission.

The Catholic Mission found Agilyx professional, flexible and supportive. Agilyx took time to understand the organisation's needs and was able to offer a solution that Catholic Mission was satisfied with.

Founded in 2001, Agilyx is Unit4’s primary partner in Asia Pacific region and one of its largest partners globally. It offers implementation services, project management, training, health checks, managed services, application support and cloud.

Agilyx employs approximately 150 people across its global offices in Sydney, Australia and New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

"We are proud to be Unit4’s largest global partner and are entirely focused on delivering transformative solutions to our customers," Agilyx CEO John Catarinich said.

Agilyx sells, implements, supports and develops solutions for the Unit4 Business World suite and delivers ERP solutions to commercial, government, education and not-for-profit sectors.

Agilyx is part of the Federal Government enterprise resource planning (ERP) software-as-a-service (SaaS) services panel.
