EY has acquired specialist SAP consulting and technical services provider Plaut IT, along with its local subsidiary EchoJunction and Malaysian subsidiary, Baseliner.
The acquisition will add 130 people to EY's technology services and marks the global advisory firm's third "digital" acquisition in the space of seven months, which includes the acquisition of Adelphi Digital Consulting Group in November.
As a result of the acquisition, the Plaut IT business in Australia and Malaysia will be branded EY and Plaut IT chairman David Prior will join EY’s technology services in Sydney.
The team from specialist enterprise focused on the CMO execution agenda and marketing technology business EchoJunction will also join EY.
“With the purchase of Plaut IT, EY is now positioned to compete in the larger end-to-end SAP sector, while the Baseliner entity also provides EY with the ability to provide cloud enterprise solutions in Oceania," said Lynn Kraus, EY Oceania leader, advisory.
"We expect these additional capabilities will accelerate the digital transformation opportunities available to the business."
Plaut IT is provider of on-premises and cloud SAP solutions with customers including SCT Logistics, Toyota Motor Corporation Australia, Sanitarium, as well as state and federal government departments.

In 2013, Plaut IT acquired Baseliner for an undisclosed sum. At the time Baseliner was an SAP service partner for South East Asia that focused on offering SAP application management support, Basis, BI CRM and ABAP project services.
