The Red Rock practice of DXC Technology has been recognised as the leading Oracle partner across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), following a year of customer wins through the cloud.

Unveiled during Oracle OpenWorld 2018 in San Francisco, the technology provider was honoured for demonstrating “outstanding and innovative solutions” based on Oracle products.

Operating as a Cloud Select and Platinum level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), DXC Red Rock is the largest independent provider of Oracle consulting and managed services on both sides of the Tasman.

“Winning A/NZ Regional Partner of the Year is a fantastic acknowledgment of the DXC Red Rock team and the great customers that we work with,” said Richard James, practice director of DXC Red Rock.

“This award recognises our commitment in providing dynamic technology leadership in Oracle solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

“This acknowledgement, along with our other recent business achievements, continues to open opportunities for new and existing DXC Red Rock customers.”

Specifically, the award “encourages innovation” by OPN members in using Oracle’s products and technology to create value for customers and generate new business potential.

From a technology perspective, recognition spans business planning and implementation to connectivity and data centre services, acknowledging partners providing support and services through Oracle Cloud.

“DXC Red Rock has demonstrated an outstanding level of innovation in delivering Oracle Cloud solutions in A/NZ that address our joint customers’ most critical business challenges,” said Robert Gosling, general manager of channels and alliances at Oracle.

“This achievement is a testament to their dedication to excellence and to providing customers solutions and services that drive real business value and results.”

The win comes two months after DXC Technology appointed former Oracle vice president for cloud applications, Doug Hughes as new head of cloud transformation within its Red Rock practice.

As revealed by ARN, Hughes spent 14 years in a variety roles with Oracle before joining DXC in the newly created position.

The appointment aligns with the technology provider’s recent acquisition of Australian Oracle partner, M-Power Solutions, in March.

M-Power provides Oracle cloud-based, enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI) solutions, with the brand set to be integrated within the DXC Red Rock practice.
