US-based Nginx has revealed a new global partner program in an effort to provide a flexible framework across its various partner network.

Nginx, which is known for its open source web server software, said the new program aims to identify key ways partners engage with the company, aiming to accommodate partners interested in a cross section of areas.

This includes partners creating integrations and certifying interoperability with their own platforms; developing modules that extend Nginx’s products and capabilities; offering Nginx products as part of a portfolio of technology and services; building custom solutions with Nginx and growing their technology consulting practice as a Nginx associate.

Besides targeting developers, the new program also makes way for resellers, solution providers, MSPs, consultants and others who want to market and sell Nginx technologies.

“We understand and have a deep appreciation for the power of community in all its forms, including our ecosystem of partners and influencers,” said MJ Shutte, vice president of sales at Nginx.

“Our new Nginx Partner Network offers membership to anyone who wants to be part of the ecosystem, whether or not their business involves selling Nginx technologies. It offers members the ability to engage how they need to, when they need to, and doesn’t limit them by tiers and categories.”

Shutte said partners that sell and recommend Nginx technologies are going to be an important component of its go-to-market strategy as it aims to aggressively grow the size of its partner community next year.

Since its founding, Nginx has earned an ecosystem of technology partners due to its extensive open source following, technology partner and certified modules specialty programs, which will continue to exist under the new framework.

Diamanti, Okta, Signal Sciences, Stealth Security and Sysdig are among some of the new partners joining the Nginx technology and certified module program. Nginx, which is headquartered in San Francisco, has customers such as Netflix, Starbucks and McDonalds.

In January, Nginx opened its regional headquarters in Singapore followed by establishing a new office in Australia in April and the appointment of Anthony Leverington as its A/NZ country manager.

In 2016, Telstra Ventures made a strategic investment into Nginx, which helped its Asia Pacific and Australian expansion efforts.
