Synnex has bolstered capabilities across the channel through the signing of TeamViewer, representing the distributor’s newest cloud vendor in Australia.

The agreement is designed to increase cloud-based offerings for managed service providers (MSPs) locally, tapping into expertise across secure remote desktop access and support.

“This agreement comes at a time when MSP’s are looking to distributors to help them capitalise on the expansion of cloud,” said Darren Tan, product and marketing director at Synnex Australia.

“We believe TeamViewer will add immense value to our MSP resellers, many of whom rely on remote login tools daily.

"Synnex is committed to innovating and growing our cloud portfolio offerings in the Australian channel and TeamViewer is a state-of-the-art addition to the portfolio.”

Founded in 2005, Germany-based TeamViewer is a global software provider for Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, remote access and support, network monitoring and team collaboration.

The vendor’s flagship product has been activated on more than 1.7 billion devices, of which at least 40 million are connected to TeamViewer’s Global Access Network.

“This partnership is an integral part of our global expansion strategy, which includes working with leading distribution channels,” added Konstantin Ebert, vice president of APAC and global channels at TeamViewer.

“It’s a unique chance for us to access new opportunities and gives us the ability to extend our enterprise reach to clients and channel partners alike.”

With more than 90 per cent of Fortune 500 companies deploying the software, key TeamViewer technologies include ITbrain and Monitis, an integrated management platform and cloud-based monitoring solution respectively.

Spanning platinum, gold, silver and registered, partners include resellers, MSPs and specialists IoT players within the market.
