Intechnology Distribution has struck up a new deal with indoor asset tracking, location services and analytics provider, Pole Star.

The two companies signed the Asia Pacific distribution deal during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, effectively expanding Pole Star’s presence into the region.

Under the deal, Intechnology will have access to the NAO Cloud platform and services including NAO BlueSpot, Pole Star industrial grade BLE beacons, NAO SDK, NAO Track, and NAO Analytics and all the associated dashboards and APIs.

“We invest a significant amount of time and resources in doing the due-diligence required prior to bringing on new vendors and Pole Star was one of the easy ones”, Intechnology CEO, Mark Winter, said.

Pole Star CEO, Christian Carle, added expanding its footprint to Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific region was part of its strategy and 2018 road map.

“We needed a serious partner with a wide customer base and a recognised track record, and Intechnology meets our expectations,” he said.

Intechnology chief channel and innovation officer, Charlie Creegan, said Pole Star provided solutions that channel partners and their customers were looking for in the field of indoor location such as asset tracking.

Some Intechnology’s partners include wireless software developers, systems integrators, mobile apps developers, and resellers focusing on a diverse, international portfolio of healthcare, manufacturing/industrial, education, retail, hospitality and government clients.

“We are convinced that this relationship will help our partners develop and expand their businesses, adding both product revenue, and more importantly recurring services revenue to their bottom line”, Creegan said.

Back in October, Intechnology landed a new agreement with Wi-Fi enabled location services provider, AiRista Flow, taking on its real time location systems (RTLS) technology across the Asia Pacific channel.
