Adobe has appointed Experian's local managing director, Suzanne Steele, as its new A/NZ managing director.

Steele will step into the role in late November, reporting to Adobe Asia Pacific president, Paul Robson. Steele's appointment follows on from Chris Skelton’s decision to leave the vendor.

“Suzanne brings extensive experience to our committed team; she is a customer-centric leader who understands the importance of client relationships to competitive differentiation and growth,” Robson said in a statement.

“Our A/NZ business has enjoyed significant growth and maturity under Chris’ leadership, and has a committed team in place focused on expanding our market leadership as well as delivering the best experiences for our customers. We are thankful to Chris for his significant contributions and wish him all the best.”

Steele has been with Experian since 2012, and has held various roles with the business data, analytics and marketing services provider, including the position of Asia Pacific sales and marketing managing director.

Steele has also worked abroad in North America, the UK and Singapore, and has held senior roles at Visa Europe, CACI London and Morgan Stanley.

In March, ARN revealed that Adobe moved the goalposts for its certified partners, upping the required annual revenue requirement to resell the vendor’s most popular products.

In addition, the company sent a letter directly to customers informing them that they would have to deal direct with Adobe from now on to renew subscriptions.
