Acronis has signed a distribution agreement with Synnex in Australia, spanning the vendor’s entire data protection and disaster recovery portfolio.
Terms of the deal will see Synnex distribute the vendor’s products across small business, service provider, back-up and storage market segments.
“Acronis’ approach to data protection, protecting all data in all environments through a unified solution, makes Acronis an ideal vendor to help extend our holistic security solutions to new and existing partners in the region,” Synnex Australia and New Zealand CEO, Kee Ong, said.
According to Technavio, the global cloud backup and recovery software market is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 13 per cent between 2016-2020.
As a result, Synnex will support service providers in the local market, through initially targeting specialised verticals across Australia.
“Together with Acronis we are formulating vertical industry solutions and strategies around cloud backup and data protection for the accounting, healthcare sectors to begin with and we are expanding the engagement model across other verticals which will open substantial new opportunities for our resellers,” Synnex Australia General Manager of E-Commerce and Cloud Services, Michael Tea, added.
The distribution deal comes weeks after the vendor signed a trans-Tasman partnership with Exeed, to distribute new generation data protection technology to home users and small office home office (SOHO) customers.
