Technology agency, The Gruden Group (ASX:GGL), has secured a $1.8 million Australian Government technology contract to enhance the AusTender platform. As per the agreement, The Gruden Group will further enhance and develop the Australian Government’s tender system, AusTender.
The contract follows the recent release of a new set if sapabilities within AusTender, named Dynamic Sourcing for Panels, or DS4P, which enables agencies to manage all their panel procurements efficiently while leveraging the familiarity of AusTender.
This contract has been issued by the Australian Government, in collaboration with the New South Wales Department of Finance, Services, and Innovation and The Gruden Group will be responsible for the migration of AusTender to a newer and improved platform.
The contract is in addition to the agreement The Gruden Group inked with the Australian Government in 2005, to build and develop the platform.
In a statement on the ASX, The Gruden group indicated that the way in which the customer currently utilises the platform will not change, but rather, the improvement is expected to enhance the “scalability and sustainability” of the platform.
“Today, the platform supports about $60 billion in transactions annually. The current contract with Gruden will make a material revenue contribution of $1.8 million in total with $835,500 in FY17 and the balance in FY18,” the company said.
The Gruden Group CEO, Tim Parker, said the contract represents the success of the AusTender platform and the company’s ongoing ability to secure “high-profile” government contracts.
The Gruden Group, on 9 December 2016, signed a new, $2.93 million, three-year contract with the NSW Small Business Commissioner (OSBC) to deliver and support a new system to improve user experience and services offered to small businesses.
It was also selected by the Public Records Office of Victoria (PROV) to create a cloud-based environment to digitise all PROV records and selected as a “preferred supplier” to the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
The company said it will also be listed for inclusion on the ICT Services Panel, making it one of the suppliers for various digital projects across the department.
“This is yet another example of how Gruden is proving its credentials in the digital transformation space. This services revenue underpins our continued investment in our MobileDEN platform, which is delivering to our strategy of increased annuity revenue from licensing and transactions.
“I am also delighted that our Digital Practice has been selected as a preferred supplier to the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development. This further builds on our governmental relationships and demonstrates our strong capabilities to deliver transformation to the sector,” Parker said.
