Enterprise Cloud provider ServiceNow, along with UXC Keystone, have been selected by the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (DFSI) to provide the platform for the GovDC Marketplace.
The marketplace is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for agencies to enquire and source services from a list of approved ICT providers, which are able to offer a range of on and off premise services through GovDC Cloudconnect.
The project will use UXC’s Keystone product, KeySite for its CMS requirements as well as ServiceNow’s Service Catalogue functionality for the Vendor Services requirement.
“To improve service quality, all government agencies are required to migrate to GovDC by August 2017. This consolidation will mean a significant reduction in ICT service costs, and the marketplace will connect agencies and suppliers in a way never before possible,” DFSI executive director of government and technology platforms, Pedro Harris, said.
This project, along with the government’s ICT as-a-Service approach, involved consolidating 130 datacentres down to two – one based in Silverwater and the other in Wollongong.
