Independent IT consultancy focusing on the Apple platform, Factorial, has been named A/NZ Partner of the Year by scale-out storage, archive and data protection company, Quantum.

Factorial picked up the gong at Quantum’s recent A/NZ Regional Partner Awards, which occurred during its Asia-Pacific Partner Conference in Macau, China, and was attended by more than 270 partners.

In presenting Factorial with the award, Quantum A/NZ marketing and channel sales manager, Jon Tinberg, said Factorial has been a long-standing Quantum partner in New Zealand, where it has a strong business delivering media and entertainment solutions to some of the country's largest companies, including Park Road Post Production, Mori Television and Ng Taonga Sound & Vision.

Factorial co-director, Tim Benson, said the company’s recent success also expands its business beyond media and entertainment and into other industries, such as genomic research and education, demonstrating the growing recognition of Quantum's StorNext data management platform.

“Factorial embodies the mindset of our successful partners, where Quantum storage is the foundation of customers' workflow solutions. We are proud to have such a great partnership with Quantum, which continues to provide technology such as StorNext and Xcellis to power our customers' workflows and supports the solutions we engineer.

“We are very grateful to have been recognised with the Quantum A/NZ Partner of the Year Award and look forward to continued success in the future," he said.

In addition to Factorial, awards were handed out to Computers Now for being the 2016 Quantum Alliance Scale-out Storage Partner of the Year; PMT Security Systems, recognised for the 2016 Video Surveillance Scale-out Storage Achievement Award; ACA Pacific for being the 2016 Quantum Alliance Distributor of the Year; and Amidata as the 2016 Quantum Alliance Datacentre Partner of the Year.
