Visual analytics company, Qlik, is growing momentum in the Australian healthcare sector.
The company, in partnership with Draper & Dash, has deployed its solutions for the Melbourne Health and Sydney Children’s Hospital. Draper & Dash was used for part of the deployment and application builds.
Both companies have a team of developers responsible for maintaining the applications once the initial builds are complete. The engagement of Draper & Dash is on a case by case basis and no formal agreement is in place for ongoing work or support.
This makes Qlik accessible to more than 400 individual health services, such as Queensland Health, Melbourne Health, the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, Mercy Health, as well as the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI).
These health services will be using Qlik to analyse data and gain insights to reduce costs and enable faster decision-making to drive better patient care and outcomes.
Qlik Asia-Pacific market development healthcare and public sector director, Charlie Farah, said data analytics is changing the way physicians, patients and other healthcare stakeholders interact today.
With Qlik’s visual analytics, healthcare providers can analyse vast amounts of patient data from multiple sources in order to make better decisions around patient care and treatment plans. By seeing the whole story in their data, Farah said healthcare officers are able to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in their processes and unnecessary diagnostics, thereby achieving greater cost and operational efficiencies, and ensuring patients get the right care the first time.
