Australian cyber security company, Secure Logic, has bought end-to-end solutions provider, Computer Room Solutions (CRS). The buyout will see CRS come under the Secure Logic Group umbrella and enables the company to expand its security solutions portfolio.

However, the merger of CRS will see the company operate as an independent division of Secure Logic.

Secure Logic specialises in online ICT security and certification, while CRS plays in the design, development and commissioning of physical ICT infrastructure space.

Previously, Secure Logic has acquired companies such as Contingency Asia and Plush Hosting.

Secure Logic managing partner and founder, Santosh Devaraj, said the coming together of both companies adds incremental value to the company, as it allows current and future clients with access to a complete suite of security solutions, both physical and technical, in Australia.

Devaraj added that the move instantly creates a new security industry heavyweight in Australia, with an estimated market value of more than $140 million.

“With security in the DNA of both companies, together we offer an end-to-end physical and technical security solution that meets both corporate and governmental protection needs.

"This is a game-changing move and places Secure Logic in an exclusive position within the Australian marketplace, allowing us to offer a complete suite of security solutions, both physical and technical,” he said.

According to Devaraj, innovation is crucial to the business and the alliance allows the company to develop in ways that will keep its clients ahead and profitable. He recently told ARN the company has grand plans in store in the next 12 months.

"The changing face of the security industry means that companies not only need to think about their outbound presence and internal controls, but also require assurance that their data is protected through its complete lifecycle."

"With CSR on board, the Secure Logic Group is now in an exciting position in the market, being able to take on larger clients and continue to provide the necessary end-to-end security needs they require. With significant expansion in Australia, this market will be a key player for us in the months to come," he said.

CRS managing director, Brendan Dessent, said the deal will enable the company to meet and exceed client expectations.

CRS services blue chip clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region using Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) endorsed products.

Some of its clients include datacentre hosting companies such as Equinix, AWS, and Digital Realty, financial institutions like Commonwealth Bank and ANZ, and various government institutions.

"We are excited to align with Secure Logic and provide services that meet our clients' needs from ground to Cloud. We have delivered on a number of successful joint projects in the past and what is clear is that both companies share common values and a vision of supplying the best when it comes to security solutions," he added.
