Capgemini delves into AI with Celaton

3 year contract aims to expand Capgemini’s automation partner ecosystem

Global consulting company, Capgemini, has signed a three-year collaboration deal with specialist Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, Celaton, to license and and use its inSTREAM cognitive learning technology.

Capgemini said the alliance means Celaton can benefit from the company’s knowledge in business process services and can further improve inSTREAM’s capabilities.

According to Celaton, it’s inSTREAM technology minimises the need for human intervention in handling unstructured and unpredictable content organisations receive via email such as claims, complaints and invoices by filtering only accurate, structured data to enter business systems.

Capgemini business services vice president and chief technology officer, Lee Beardmore, said there is industry debate on how cognitive computing and artificial intelligence will impact the business process outsourcing market.

“We are taking our delivery from debate to global implementation and are proud to partner with Celaton as a leading vendor in the business process AI space. Building on the introduction of Capgemini’s Autonomic Platform-as-a-Service, Celaton’s technology extends the penetration of cognitive computing into our delivery of business process services.”

Celaton chief executive, Andrew Anderson, said, “I am delighted that Celaton and Capgemini have committed to this global partnership. The transformational impact of AI has been proven with many organisations and yet this emerging technology is often greeted with scepticism.”

“Capgemini’s global reach and credibility will have an impact on the perception and adoption of AI and I’m very excited that Capgemini’s customers will soon be able to realise its significant benefits,” he said.
