CIO departs as part of management restructure

Former Hills chief information officer, Derek Brown,

Hills Limited chief information officer, Derek Brown, has left the company as part of a senior management restructure.

A Hills employee told ARN Brown had departed along with two other members of the senior management team. All of the former employees reported directly to Hills managing director, Grant Logan.

Brown had been at Hills since December 2012, when he was appointed director of business services, following this, he was named CIO in February 2014. Prior to Hills, Brown held senior positions at Staples and TMP Worldwide.

Hills has been in poor financial health of late. August 2015 saw it report a net profit loss of $86 million after an internal review revealed asset write-downs valued at $94 million. It reported an underlying net profit of $11 million at the time.

In addition, Company stocks dropped from a $1.25 in February 2015 to about $0.25 per share at the time of writing.

ARN reached out to Brown and Hills for comment, neither were available at the time of publication.
