Australian solar company, Natural Solar, is the first authorised installer to install the Tesla Daily Powerwall into a residential home in the country.
The Pfizner family, based in Sydney’s Hills District, was one of the first families in the world to have the Tesla Powerwall installed as Australia was one of the first regions globally to receive the home battery.
According to Natural Solar, the device stores solar energy during sunlight hours allowing residents to use it at night, negating the need to sell excess energy back to the grid.
The family’s personal renewable energy solution included the Tesla Powerwall Home Battery, an array of 5kWp, a SolarEdge inverter and monitoring software to see the direct output of energy from the entire system and the Powerwall.
Natural Solar managing director, Chris Williams, claimed 1.5 million Australian households already use solar energy. He said the Tesla Powerwall is a highly developed technology that can allow users to save money and reduce their residential carbon emissions.
The company said Australians will have the chance to have their own Tesla Powerwall installed with our without solar panels and for those with panels already installed, there is the opportunity for a retro-fit to occur allowing a Tesla Powerwall to be added along with a compatible inverter to an existing solar system.
