Infosys has extended its partnership with the ATP World Tour and will provide fans and players with statistics and analysis for the Australian Open.

The company recently provided the service to the Apia International Sydney 2016 Tennis Tournament held from January 10-16, 2016 through its open-source data analytics and visualization platform, the Infosys Information Platform.

The platform will analyse historical player data to identify trends and insights about matches. The company said the insights will engage both casual and ardent fans, provide information to commentators and media, and give players access to in-depth data about their game and those of their competitors.

Infosys vice president and regional head Australia and New Zealand, Andrew Groth, said Australian tennis fans are among the most passionate and knowledgeable in the world, and they are thirsty for insightful and engaging content about the sport and the players they admire.

“We are using our powerful analytics engine to deliver exciting new digital features and match analyses to fans and media. This will create a great digital experience for spectators and players.”

The initiatives within the larger partnership that Infosys has with the ATP World Tour include the creation of an exclusive Infosys ATP Scores & Stats Centre to improve engagement with tennis fans by providing insights and predictions about every tournament, every match and every point including the Australian Open.

The partnership also includes a redesign of the ATP Player Zone player engagement platform and mobile app, to elevate the experience for players and enable them to register for tournaments, review travel information, connect with other players, and stay up-to-date on all ATP World Tour news.

Infosys is managing the infrastructure, applications, and data of ATP World Tour by leveraging the elasticity and computational power of Infosys’ Cloud-based model.
