Nexon expands its relationship with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise

Telco to become ALE Cloud solutions provider

Comments

Telecommunications company, Nexon Asia Pacific, has expanded its business partnership with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise by becoming an enterprise Cloud solutions and services provider.

The new partnership enables Nexon to offer businesses Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) communications technologies in Australia.

Nexon co-founder and director, Barry Assaf, said the strategic progression of the relationship is a logical next step for both companies.

“We have formed a very strong relationship with ALE over many years as a Premium Business Partner, which has seen our values become closely aligned. We’re delighted to now extend that to the Cloud.

“Our thinking is congruent with the value proposition created by ALE’s commercial approach to the Cloud, which has seen us modify our internal structure to capitalise on this new consumption model. We’re looking forward to now passing on the benefits of Cloud-based delivery to our customers,” he added.

ALE Asia Pacific (APAC) regional Cloud director, Steve Saunders, believes Cloud adoption in Australia is growing rapidly and businesses are seeking new and different consumption models specific to their industries.

“For us, the crux of this relationship is a commitment to work to ease our mutual customers’ transition through to the Cloud. This is in-line with our Cloud strategy that is based on a “pay-per-use” Cloud services model. Both Nexon and ALE believe the flexibility available through this affordable delivery method will further increase Cloud adoption in Australia,” he said.

ALE A/NZ vice president, Maud Holvast, said, “We have always been impressed with Nexon’s market and technical knowledge, agility and responsiveness, which was illustrated in the negotiations to expand our relationship.”

“It took just a matter of days for Nexon to activate the OTEC platform and secure their first customer, which is precisely the characteristics required to be successful in this fast moving Cloud market.”
