World Software Corp, Matrix Solutions and NEXTDC collaborate
Australian datacentre-as-a-service company, NEXTDC (ASX: NXT), together with its partner, Matrix Solutions, and US-based World Software Corporation, have made the Worldox Cloud solution available in Australia through NEXTDC’s S1 Sydney and M1 Melbourne datacentres.
Worldox Cloud is a SaaS document management solution (DMS). Matrix was involved in moving all of World Software Corporation’s hosting equipment into the S1 datacentre, where it hosts the BigHand Professional product as well as Worldox Cloud.
Matrix Solutions managing director, Anthony Ridley-Smith, said the company is very excited to be hosting and supporting Worldox Cloud Australia.
“This builds on and enhances our close relationship with World Software. In addition, it allows us to expand our offerings to the Australian legal market," he said.
“Our relationship with NEXTDC has grown with the acquisition of rack space in NEXTDC M1 in Port Melbourne, and all our client data is backed up to our hosting equipment interstate. We chose NEXTDC so that our client data would be located in the best data centres in Australia.”
World Software Corporation president, Ray Zwiefelhofer, said the Worldox Cloud Australia offering will suit the needs of many customers and prospects in the region and continues to expand its global Worldox Cloud coverage.
Zwiefelhofer also stressed the importance of maintaining the sovereignty of client data.
"It is good practice and we strongly believe law firm’s documents and content should remain on their native soil," Zwiefelhofer added.
NEXTDC CEO, Craig Scroggie, said the collaboration shows how vital a diverse eco-system of networks and service providers is to the appeal of independent co-location.
