Centrify has a new managed service provider (MSP) channel program for its Cloud identity offerings.

The firm also announced a series of MSP-specific product enhancements to its portfolio.

Its new MSP program extends the Centrify channel partner network to solution providers that offer security and remote IT management services.

Centrify senior vice president of sales, Gary Taggart, said “MSPs have historically provided remote monitoring and security management for on-premises PCs, servers, apps and network devices, but as their customers migrate to mobile and the cloud, their clients’ IT management challenges are fundamentally changing as identity becomes the new perimeter.”

“With specific MSP product enhancements to Centrify’s IDaaS offering and a new MSP-oriented channel program, MSPs can now not only better secure their clients’ expanding SaaS and mobile deployments, but also delight their clients’ end users with single sign-on to thousands of SaaS applications such as Office 365, Google Apps, Concur and others.”

Centrify said the new MSP program augments the existing Centrify channel partner network by helping service providers bring access, authentication and authorisation to customers whether fully hosted or co-located, to deliver the same level of security as an on-premises network.

Centrify regional sales manager Australia and New Zealand, Derek Morwood, said the firm was approached by a number of partners in Australia and overseas to develop an MSP product.

“We had a lot of MSPs approach us to develop it. It was a relatively easy add on for us and so we did.”

“IT exposes us to another group of resellers without conflicting with our existing ones,” he said.

Morwood expects Centrify to be partnering with a dozen new MSPs across the Asia Pacific region in the near future.

“There are already a couple of MSPs in Australia that are super keen to get onboard.”

“It confirms us as a real player in the identity management marketplace. It was a string missing in our bow, but now it allows us to provide solutions in all the areas of identity management”

The program’s subscription model is aimed at increasing channel partners and is said to create new revenue streams for existing partners who want to conduct some portion of their business as an MSP.

The firm said providers of all sizes can leverage its Identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) platform to allow single sign-on (SSO) to SaaS applications, multi-factor authentication (MFA), user provisioning, enterprise mobility management (EMM), and VPN-less access to on-premises applications.

The firm claims its user suite provides a single active directory, or cloud-based login to corporate resources, including mobile devices, Macs and cloud apps. Centrify said it enhanced the user suite product to enable MSPs to offer an IDaaS product in a scalable way.

MSPs can apparently use the service to create private tenants for their customers, and can easily login and manage those tenants including enabling and disabling tenants they have created.
