ASX-listed telecommunications and IT provider, Amcom Telecommunications (ASX:AMM) has expanded its agreement with the Northern Territory government to supply additional data network services across the region.
The four-year contract is valued at about $6.5 million and complements the existing data network services agreement, expanding to an additional 141 sites across the Territory using Amcom’s existing fibre infrastructure and third party networks.
The rollout will commence in the second quarter of the 2015 financial year.
On top of this, the Perth-based telco has also become the preferred supplier on the fixed voice services panel for the Northern Territory government.
“The ability to offer services to even the most remote areas of Australia demonstrates our flexibility and capability to provide services for our customers,” Amcom CEO, Clive Stein, said.
