ATech hires eight new staff in response to "phenomenal" growth

The new hires follow strong customer demand

Australian networking consultant ATechnology has made a series of new appointments to cater for "phenomenomal" growth in customer demand.

The new hires include a new IT infrastructure and network consultant, a senior web developer, a senior software engineer, senior information developer and the newly created role of marketing manager.

ATechnology managing director, Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann, said: “We have experienced phenomenal growth recently and anticipate a similar rate of growth in the future," she said.

“These latest new hires are in response to customer demand.

"Nearly all of our clients have come by word of mouth and we are now getting enquiries from international companies in the USA, Japan and Thailand."

Oliver Kelly has taken the role of IT infrastructure and Network Consultant.

Prior to joining ATech, Kelly was a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Virgin Australia.

He has also worked in the Office of Information Strategy and Technology for the Department of Education and Training Queensland.

Christopher Gillis has been appointed senior web developer.

Prior to joining ATech, Mr Gillis was the Online Marketing Manager at Visual Obsession.

Nick Weedon will take on the role of senior software engineer.

In this role he will provide development services for some of ATech’s high level projects.

Prior to joining ATech, he was senior software engineer at Leica Geosystems.

He has 14 years' experience in the IT industry in senior software Engineer or IT Developer roles for organisations including Vasco Data Security, POS Works, SEMA Group and Education Queensland.

Kate Grainger will act act as senior information developer and will be responsible for creating information development strategies to improve business value to ATech’s customers.

Grainger was previously an Information Development consultant.

Her prior roles included Content Author Team Lead for Red Hat and Information Development Team Lead for IBM.

Isaac Roberts has been appointed to the newly created role of Marketing Manager, while Elisabeth Irons will now be responsible for accounts payable and receivable.

Christopher Rollinson has been appointed Junior Web Developer.

Peterschlingmann, said the company's unusual business model had attracted candidates of a very high calibre.

"Everyone works remotely so our team meetings are via web conferences," she said.

“In addition, working remotely provides the opportunity to improve employment in regional areas. For example, two of our employees are based in Cairns.
