Adobe released the latest update for Photoshop CC that includes more features for 3D printing.
It is the third such update to the vendor’s graphic design software in the last six months.
The latest update features support for the MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation desktop printer and DMM.com (Japan) 3D printing service. There is also support for additional 3D file formats such as VRML, U3D, PLY and IGES.
Adobe is boasting a “streamlined” 3D painting experience with the latest update and has enlisted the services of a number of artists to showcase the software’s capabilities. The update will also enable easy combination of multiple print jobs into a single print bed.
With updates for Photoshop coming thick and fast in the last six months, it’s clear 3D printing is a technology Adobe is betting will become ubiquitous in the near future.
