Internode to live stream WOMADelaide festival

Reprises presenting partner sponsorship

Adelaide-based Internet service provider (ISP) Internode has announced that it will be live streaming major performances from the WOMADelaide music festival.

Internode is reprising its sponsorship of the world music art and dance festival with the continuation of live-streaming. The service will be available through Internode’s content distribution network.

The announcement continues the ISP's increasing involvement in the festival after it announced it will be doubling Wi-Fi availability at the event.

The acts already announced to be featured in the live stream are US Hip Hop group Arrested Development; Portuguese fado chanteuse singer Carminho; Algerian activist singer Rachid Taha; and Sydney-based Assyrian-Iraqi Band Azadoota.

The company expects to finalise more live streaming agreements before the festival commences on March 7.

Internode content manager, Heidi Angove, said the service provides exposure for artists as well as providing great online content that can be enjoyed during and after the festival.

The ISP will provide on the ground technical skills and equipment to enable the live streaming as well as negotiating full rights clearance with all artists involved.
