Firstservis partners Dassault Systèmes to push Big Data app

Firstservis, which was established in 2007, will sell, implement and provide support for EXALEAD applications in A/NZ

Australian IT consultancy Firstservis has partnered with 3D design software firm Dassault Systèmes to distribute its Big Data leveraging app, EXALEAD.

Under the agreement, Firstservis, which was established in 2007, will sell, implement and provide support for EXALEAD applications in Australia and New Zealand.

Firstservis director, Andrew Young said the partnership was heavily influenced by an exhaustive market evaluation that was undertaken by a key client.

“Their decision to re-platform their business on EXALEAD applications was then validated by Gartner’s 2013 Magic Quadrant Report where the brand was named as the most visionary of enterprise search vendors,” he said.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform brings structure, meaning and accessibility to data across the heterogeneous enterprise information cloud and combines the sophisticated search, access and reporting typically associated with databases with the speed, scalability and simplicity of the Web.

Dassault Systèmes director of sales A/NZ, Christian Ebels said the application offered a game changing technology for organisations looking to leverage the value of Big Data.

“We are delighted that Firstservis has chosen to adopt and resell this brand to its customers,” he said.

“We are very pleased as well to be working with Firstservis’ highly skilled team.

"This validates the leadership Dassault Systèmes has in terms of vision and strengthens our capacity to deliver this vision and support organisations in Australia and New Zealand.”

Young said unstructured content represented as much as 80 per cent of an organisation’s total information assets and the potential for insight and intelligence expands dramatically when enterprise information is augmented with public and social information from the internet.

“Search-based applications have always been the best technology for collecting and transforming textual content and we believe EXALEAD applications to be the most capable standalone search platform available on the market today,” he said. “We look forward to working with Dassault Systèmes and our clients to unlock the hidden value within their content and data.”
