Sydney-based point of sale software developer and systems integrator (SI), Task Retail Technology, is looking for further penetration into the US food industry, having already won contracts with several chain restaurants across the country.
TRT’s xchangxec is a Cloud-based POS system which utilises Dell’s PowerEdge servers and EqualLogic storage to communicate sales data from within two secure locations in Sydney and Las Vegas.
Sizzler USA, Rubio’s Restaurants, Luby’s, A&W Restaurants, Pie Face New York, and Red Robin’s Burger Works are among TRT’s US clients which have switched to xchangexec.
Task Retail Technology founder, Kym Houdden, said TRT is “looking to scale to sign 8,000 businesses across the US in coming years.”
Houden believes the technology is a “game changer for expanding transactional businesses, particularly those growing across a large geographical area.”
“With xchangexec, any company executive can be sitting in Sydney and track sales data instantly to a store in Texas,” said Houden. By providing xchangexec with real-time power, “It allows for an experience similar to standing next to the POS terminal from thousands of kilometres away.”
xchangexec currently supports 2590 outlets in Australia; the vendor claims the software, in combination with Dell’s Cloud infrastructure, processes $2.98 million for local brands including Brumby’s Bread, Michel’s Patisserie, Donut King, Pie Face, and Pacific Retail Management.
Hospitality and retail aside, the xchangexec software has seen uptake in the entertainment sector with 57 top gaming venues and casinos in Sydney implementing the system.
