Denis Mackenzie steps down from CSG

Replaced from within the company by Julie-Ann Kerin, as the reseller downgrades its profit expectations.

CSG has a new managing director. Denis Mackenzie has stepped down from his role to be replaced by group general manager for the technology solutions division, Julie-Ann Kerin.

Mackenzine was a 16-year veteran of the ASX-listed company, the last 11 years of which he had been serving as managing director.

In a statement to the ASX, Mackenzie did not disclose future plans, though he voiced his continued faith in the company and plans to remain a significant shareholder.

Kerin has been the group general manager for the technology solutions division for the past four years.

Previously, she held roles at Actuate, Haht Commerce, Genasys and Computer Power during her 20 years experience in IT.

She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In a statement, Kerin said, “I look forward to working with the team across CSG to promote further integration and unlock the potential in all parts of the business.

"After a period of growth through acquisition which has seen the business significantly expand both its geographic and customer reach there is now an opportunity to optimise the returns from the platform that has been created.”

In other CSG news, the board announced to the ASX an expected profit downgrade. Based on one-off costs to the tune of $2.1 million CSG’s anticipated net profit for the half year ended 31 December, 2011, will be in the range of $9 million - $11 million.

The full first half results will be announced February 22.

The board said in a statement it is expecting an improved performance in the second half.
