Wireless systems and network provider, Tyco Electronics, has completed the acquisition of fibre and wireless provider, ADC Krone.
The acquisition will see Tyco Electronics become the largest datacentre and enterprise network connectivity manufacturer in Australia and New Zealand.
It plans to continue to research, develop and provide full customer support for all AMP Netconnect as well as ADC Krone products and systems. AMP Netconnect is a business unit of Tyco Electronics that deploys, manufactures, and supplies communications infrastructure products and systems.
The ADC Krone brand will continue to remain along with its distribution channels. The purchase by Tyco will supply ADC with stronger financial backing.
Tyco Electronics marketing and communications manager, Mark Putica, said AMP Netconnect and ADC KRONE end-users will have greater pre- and post-purchase support levels, cross sharing of technologies, integration and utilisation of technical members from two different brands.
