The Defender 1200VA and 1600VA series is an improvement on PowerShield's previous Defender UPS range. According to the vendor, the automatic voltage regulation is highly sensitive and will boost the power to ensure that sensitive equipment is not affected by surges and spikes. Additionally, the Defender series now comes standard with user replaceable batteries as well as six surge protected outlets, three which are battery backed up. This series also boasts an LCD display that indicates to the user what input and output voltages the UPS is sensing as well as the state of the batteries and the equipment load, all at a single glance.
