AUSTRAC calls for a CRM solution

Australia's anti-money laundering regulator and specialist financial intelligence unit looking for CRM expressions of interest

The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the supply of a customer relationship management (CRM) solution.

AUSTRAC is the nation’s anti-money laundering regulator and specialist financial intelligence unit and has most of its staff in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

EOI documents state the CRM must initially support 80 AUSTRAC users but with hundreds of external users to be included in the long term at an annual growth rate of 10 per cent.

The solution must, among other requirements, also: Provide advanced reporting and querying functionality; facilitate the compilation, recording and reporting on all inbound and outbound engagement related activities; and facilitate the recording of, and accessibility to, all information and provide the flexibility to meet growing requirements of relationship management.

Two or more respondents may be short listed for a tender process if AUSTRAC’s criteria are met. The EOI request closes on September 17, 2009.

The EOI follows on the back of the Family Court of Australia opening a $350,000 tender for the rollout of videoconferencing systems in four locations around the country and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) opening a tender for the creation of a non-exclusive panel of ICT providers.
