Cyberoam and MPA offer certifications

Security vendor and local distributor announce plans to launch education programs and target a wider range of resellers and customers

Security vendor, Cyberoam, and local distributor, MPA Systems, will offer a certification program for partners.

Over the last six months we’ve been building up the reseller base and now the goal is to expand further and consolidate the resellers we’ve already got,” MPA Systems managing director, Guy Goodman, said. “We’re going to start being more formal with resellers by offering a certified partner training program, which will carry discounts to those partners with greater certifications – we’re still working through the exact details of that.”

Since the announcement of the distribution partnership 10 resellers have taken on the Cyberoam range of Unified Threat Management (UTM) products, with most being located in Melbourne and Sydney. MPA and Cyberoam will also be launching new products in February to attract more resellers, Goodman said.

The Cyberoam range has appealed to the low- to mid-market customer, with most installations being for 50-100 seats.

Goodman said MPA was looking to appeal to higher end customers in the New Year through reseller recruitment.

“Although things are a bit slow at the moment, we’re in a growing business and I think the productivity enhancements offered by UTM appliances will do well, especially in areas such as education and government,” he said.
