SecureServ adds staff for national channel plans

Newly established networking and security distributor, SecureServ, has bolstered its employee base with two new appointments.

Bill Pringle has been brought on as national sales manager and Michael Klohk as southern region manager to look after Victoria, SA and WA. The distributor is based in Sydney.

SecureServ would look to add a northern region manager as well as more sales and support staff during the next six months, general manager, Vic Whiteley, said.

Both Pringle and Klohk would focus on channel development through reseller recruitment and marketing campaigns, Whiteley said.

The company is aiming to target partners in the security sector that are based in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth.

Whiteley said he was unsure of how many resellers to bring onboard but insisted he would not saturate the market.

Pringle and Klohk would also be responsible for attracting new resellers to its SecureServ Security Partner program.

"Even though we do take orders from anybody that wants to buy from us, we have a security course in place whereby we qualify partners and work with them to generate good margins," Whiteley said.

As previously reported in ARN, SecureServ launched its Australian operations in July. Its flagship offering is the ServGate unified threat management range.
