EDS coup at British Airways

British Airways Engineering has hired Electronic Data Systems to manage its desktop computers in a deal reportedly worth $US164.15 million over 10 years, company officials said.

BA Engineering maintains and services aircraft for British Airways and 10 to 20 other airlines that fly out of London's Heathrow Airport. The shift to an outside vendor meant some BA employees were transferred from BA to EDS.
