Madge Networks has released a new switching module for its Smart Ringswitch family of token ring switches.
The Smart Groupswitch module, with a suggested retail price from $299 per port, enables Smart Ringswitches to be deployed in workgroup environments.
The Smart Groupswitch module integrates with Madge's advanced Smart Ringswitch platform, which offers up to 1.5Gbps of backplane switching capacity, network management and Madge's Active Broadcast Control technology.
The Smart Groupswitch module will start shipping in April 1998.
