DocuSign has signed on Ingram Micro as a distributor across Australia, representing the digital transaction management and eSignature company's second local partnership in a week.

As per the deal, Ingram Micro will expand DocuSign’s cloud service offering to its IT service provider partners nationwide, with the coming days after the vendor inked a distribution deal with software solutions specialist distributor, rhipe.

Ingram Micro Australia cloud general manager, Lee Welch, said through this partnership, DocuSign’s DTM platform and eSignature service will be available to Ingram Micro’s extensive channel partner network throughout Australia.

“Ingram Micro offers its service provider partners and professionals access to a global marketplace, expertise, solutions and enablement programs that help organisations configure, provision and manage cloud technologies with confidence and ease," he said.

Welch added that the increasing demand among Australian businesses for secure cloud-based business applications to speed up collaboration and increase productivity was a strong reason for the partnership.

“Our partnership with DocuSign is a significant step towards expanding our collaboration solutions portfolio, helping us deliver transformative solutions through our channel partners so that businesses can streamline time and cost-intensive processes to achieve growth,” he said.

DocuSign business development and channels senior vice-president, Mark Register, said DocuSign is changing how business gets done by providing solutions which allow businesses to transact digitally “anytime, anywhere, on any device”.

Through the partnership with DocuSign, Register said Ingram Micro’s service provider partners will be able to offer customers reduced operating costs, automated back-end document processing, accelerated cycle time to generate results, and improved customer satisfaction.

“We are delighted to welcome Ingram Micro to the DocuSign Global Trust Network of more than 250,000 companies and more than 100 million users across 188 countries," he added.

"This partnership will open up whole new opportunities for DocuSign to help businesses eliminate printing, faxing, scanning and overnighting paper documents to transact business."

DocuSign Asia-Pacific vice-president, Brad Newton, previously said that its distribution deals will "open up a new channel of growth" for DocuSign in the region.

“This is an opportunity to introduce even more Asia-Pacific businesses to the capabilities and benefits of the DocuSign platform, as so many look to innovative digital solutions to transform, and achieve business growth," he said at the time.
